They were amazing, responsive, cool and there was a real community. I remember my surprise when one morning I woke up to realise that I had been nominated 'SoundClouder of the day'. That was about 12 years ago. But soon the people there changed, I think they changed ownership and it went downhill from there. The proliferation of spam accounts was particularly bad, and I don't remember ever anyone contacting me on that regard, despite my numerous complaints. Why didn't I leave? Because in 12 years, all my production had been uploaded and shared through their system.
