Excelente Monitoreo.

Puntos a favor:

Teniendo en cuenta que tiene un plan gratuito cabe destacar que brinda informacion completa sobre el servidor y los equipos que se monitorean.

Contras:

Cabe recalcar que es un aplicativo pago y obiamente la vercion gratuita tiene limitantes pero es excelente aplicativo y recomiendo adquirirlo.

Comentarios: Es un aplicativo que responde a las necesidades actuales en el monitoreo de tiempo real de los servidores y bases de datos

Puntos a favor:

El envio en tiempo real de las operaciones y caidas de los servidores y bases de datos, lo que me permite una mejor toma de desiciones

Contras:

La falta de un panel ejecutivo de respuesta aleatoria, me impide una mas rapida toma de desiciones

Comentarios: It's an intuitive program that provides users with comprehensive records of all recent actions. Displays success or failure of the process. If the attempt fails, identify the faulty stage. It explains everything from beginning to conclusion.

Puntos a favor:

All of Datadog's basic building blocks are top-notch. Their data ingestion is lightning fast and (usually) dependable, their graph widget is adaptable and usable in a wide variety of contexts, and they have a good track record of introducing products that combine these features.

Contras:

Our experiences with Datadog support have been continuously negative; the company goes out of its way to avoid direct communication and offers irrelevant answers.

Best Single Pane of Glass Monitoring Solution

Comentarios: Overall, I like DataDog a lot. It beats the various disparate monitoring products we were using before.

Puntos a favor:

APM and single pain of glass. This makes it easy to get host metrics for resource utilization and an easy traceback for exceptions.

Contras:

Searching logs is not as intuitive as I would like. Text search doesn't work when logs are sent as JSON. Simple grep would make things easier.

Comentarios: Overall my experience has been good, but I would like better product support for the various use cases my organization has and an easier more competitive billing structure is needed.

Puntos a favor:

Easy of use and integrations make Datadog very compelling. I am also a big fan of the out of the box dashboards and views that help out teams provide value quickly to the products they support.

Contras:

Sometimes that ease of use can be too much of a crutch. I find that creating useful monitors and queries is challenging because I am not allowed access to more advanced features or search criteria I am not aware of. The cost of using Datadog and the numerous areas of billing has really been a big struggle. Not having a set price for using Datadog, the constant increase with new, on-demand services and understanding all the categories I can be charged for is becoming a huge pain point in my organization

Go-to Observability+ Platform

Comentarios: See pros and cons. My experience is mostly great. My go-to tool given the funds are there. Just be aware that support is lacking. I would love to see this improve and it would help us greatly if we were able to reliably get good help.

Puntos a favor:

Ease of use, extensive features, intuitive design. By far the easiest observability platform I've ever used while also being the most feature dense. Impressive, and improving faster than I can even keep up.

Contras:

Datadog support leaves much to be desired. They tend to be extremely dismissive, often trying to close the ticket as quickly as they can without offering any help. You really need to ask for escalations or hop on a call to get legitimate help the majority of the time. There is a long-running inside joke at our company that any bug we find will only get the response "ok, we can put in a feature request"...

Lead QA Engineer

Comentarios: Very positive. I think it's the market leader in visibility and observability. I am saying this having worked with Splunk, Grafana and other similar products.

Puntos a favor:

Intuitive UI, and feature packed. Setting up dashboards has been a breeze. Most recently I set up several Synthetic tests for my organization and I was pleasantly surprised with its capabilities. Great documentation to support various features overall.

Contras:

My organization has complained about cost of the product.

Great but expensive observability suite

Comentarios: Overall, after some ups and downs, they've been a good partner. Their tool is extremely powerful, and enables a lot of excellent practices around observability, but you have to pay for it.

Puntos a favor:

End-to-end observability, great search and analytics capability

Contras:

Can be expensive, especially at scale. They also introduce new features for free but then charge you later.

It is a fully stable application. We enjoy working with it, and we are impressed by its performance. There is no slowness at all, and there is zero downtime. It is a one-shot tool that provides a complete solution to all your requirements with the best customization capability.

Contras:

A few improvements are expected: the UI should be more user-friendly, and a help menu with "How to customize easily" should be added for those using it for the first time. No data visualization.

Experience with Datadog is Best. Using this Tool since 1 year. I worked on many monitoring tool but this is the one best for cloud and infrastructure monitoring. Datadog provides many third party tools integration, we did many integration and monitored many services. we can setup the alerts on our services for let us know before any unusual activity happens. and main thing is we can redirect that alerts to our notification channel and our teams to work on that. We can integrated our frontend and backend applications and we can collect logs also for our application and we can more debug it. They have built in dashboard feature we can manually create dashboards according to our use case. we can also create synthetic scripts and synthetic monitors such as ping for testing our website is available or not or its properly working or not. we can query our data and fetch it accordingly. Talking about AWS and azure services integration, Its totally easy our teams hasn't fetch any issue, its easy as it is. overall experience is good while using this tool best for keep our application and services up to date and running. They have active customer service.

Contras:

Nothing to dislike about Datadog, pricing is quite high but this tool has providing you lot more integration and active customer support so you can raise your query and You will get feedback fast.

Datadog Review

Comentarios: My over all exeperience with Datadog is excellent, I have used other apm tools like grafana and prometheus, but I had to say, datadog seems to be par with them.

Puntos a favor:

The most I like about the data is trace of the apis and Service Catalog showing all the important details of API. apart from these pipeline feature as well.

Contras:

I very much like datadog, but the UI of log section can be imporved. It looks a but clutter.

Comentarios: I've just use Datadog nearly a year and I really love it, it helps me to keep track and integrate easier with other 3rd parties like Seri Log. I can receive notification about my application via email/slack, it's very useful

Documentation. Mastering the product is hard given it covers so many aspects. However documentation can be improved with more samples and easier doc navigation (it relies too much on blog samples)

My first exposure to APMs, I really like DataDog

Comentarios: I really like DataDog. I love using it for live debugging mostly.

Puntos a favor:

I can logs from various environments and with many options to filter and seerch so I can tweak the settings and see the logs I am looking for.

Contras:

I found it a bit difficult to get my head around where to find what and how to make a simple query - but then it's probably because I was completely new to Application Performance Monitoring tools in general. Once I used the tool for some live debugging I got the hang of it :)

Datadog the standard of logs

Comentarios: Overall, datadog is a good tool that I use within our organization's tool stack to look at logs to identify issues and troubleshoot for our customers.

Puntos a favor:

The dashboard in datadog is very customizable, allowing me to view metrics and logs to my preference. This in my opinion, allows me to work very efficiently. I also appreciate the alerting system as it helps me catch and identify problems.

Contras:

The learning curve was a bit hard to understand at first, as there was a lot of options at the start that makes it feel overwhelming.

The most like features of datadog are it provides real-time monitoring of any happens In the system and it is easily customizable. With the help of logs, we can easily create the monitor and dashboards. It can easily use all other third-party tools and can create alerts. It also provides anomaly which works on past data and it is sensitive and useful. Datadog is also AI capable, There is a feature called Datadog Insight which can easily detect any error in the system.

Contras:

Datadog is a fairly new application, Learning advanced features we are not able to find much documentation and learning on the internet. It also stores limited historical data and licensing is fairly high compared to similar monitoring platforms.
